What is Magnolia?
Magnolia plants are estimated to be around 95 million years old — making them one of the oldest flowering plant species on earth.
Unlike most flowering plant species, magnolias are pollinated by beetles.
Most of magnolias use as medicine come from traditional Chinese medicine. In this system of medicine, magnolia is very popular for sinus infections, cold/flu, asthma, coughing, and sinus headaches.
More modern applications of the plant rely on its GABAergic effects for treating anxiety, chronic stress, and sleep.
